Forthcoming 33rd Plenary Meeting of the SEE Health Network, 03-04 July 2014, Bucharest, Romania

In a month and a half the SEE Health Network will have its 33rd Plenary meeting in Bucharest under the Presidency of the Romanian Minister of Health.

This Plenary is another cornerstone of the development of the SEEHN as an International Organization!

Its work will focus on four main topics:

The new 3rd Issue of the SEE Health Network Newsletter on Mental Health

The SEEHN RHDC on Mental Health has just published and posted the 3rd Issue of the SEEHN Newsletter on Mental Health.

Since its commencement in 2001, the SEE Health Network launched and keeps on carrying out regional collaboration in two very important public health areas, namely Communicable diseases surveillance and Mental health, without a change throughout the years.

The SEEHN Executive Committee invites the colleagues from SECIDS to read about their MNH friends work and accomplishments as presented in the Newsletter. You can follow them on the following link:

2014 will be very intensive for the SEE Health Network

On 30 and 31 January 2014 the Executive Committee of the SEE Health Network held its Extraordinary Meeting in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia which was organized in an examplary way by the colleagues of the Serbian Ministry of Health.

Very important decisions were taken and are to be implemented in 2014 within the frameworks of several key regional and European policies, strategies and action plans towards 2020, namely:

World Health Day 2014 – Vector-borne diseases

In 2014, activities for World Health Day in the WHO European Region will focus on emerging vector-borne diseases, those in resurgence, and the potential threat of others due to travel and trade. Special emphasis will be placed on people on the move.
