The mentorship program for laboratory quality assurance in countries of South East Europe was launched by Association of Public Health Laboratories (ALPH) supported by CDC, Atlanta, USA and in collaboration with SECID in a meeting held in Tirana on 7-8 May 2015.
Mentors are experts from different public health laboratories in USA with a vast experience in quality assurance and mentorship programs. They will work with laboratory experts of SEE countries to address quality assurance and management. After laboratory assessment and based on country plans there will be recommendations by prioritising items that are feasible to accomplish in a one year timeframe and will have greatest quality improvement impact. The ultimate goal is to fulfil quality assurance indicators and meet NIC requirements.
