SECID in collaboration with and suported by CORDS (Conecting Organizations for Regional Disease Surveillance), organized a risk assessment and communication workshop, that took place on 6-7 July 2015 in Budva, Montenegro.
The overall aim of this two days workshop was to clarify the conditions that need to be in place for risk management in the areas of risk assessment, risk communication and notification in order to better comply with the IHR (2005).
This workshop aimed to better understand:
- Risk communication activities in their multiple dimensions of information, communication and coordination on different levels within countries, in cross-border regions and across different countries; and
- Risk assessment and notification requirements under IHR (2005).
The participants coming from SEE and MECIDS countries, as well as Kosovo*, and Slovenia were IHR focal points, focal points for outbreak investigation and response, and influenza focal points in their respective countries.
This workshop has been organized back to back to the outbreak response workshop that will take place on 8-9 July in Budva.
